Dogs this week wanting a new home.
Please remember when taking a rescue dog he/she will need time to adjust, you must be patient. We do ask for a donation towards our well run kennels, we rely on your generosity. Thank you for supporting BARK.

We carry out home visits before placing any of our dogs. Due to cost and time implications we try to keep this within a 15 mile area of our centre. For more information please check out Things to consider before adoption There is often more than one home interested in a dog and we will carry out all home visits before deciding what is best for the specific dog. However, just because a dog is placed elsewhere does not mean a home is unsuitable for a dog. When lucky dogs have the choice of more than one home we try our very best to get it right for them. For minimum donations amounts please see Things to consider before adoption

Perhaps you are unable to adopt an animal but would like to help. We have dog kennels, cat pens, and small animal hutches for sponsorship. Prices range from £100 a year down to £25 a year. Please contact us on 01289 306299 or email us at rehome@aol.com for further information. Thank you for viewing our website. Don't forget about our small animal section.

Picture of Kim Picture of Kim Picture of Kim Picture of Kim Picture of Kim

Please check out Kim's videos Here and Here See Kim's new video Here

Kim was three in May and has spent her life in and out of kennels through no fault of her own. She has really come on the last few months and is now a far more confident and relaxed dog. She loves to be out on her walks and enjoys the company of people. She is well behaved around other dogs and listens when she is told to behave even when the other dog is really "working its ticket". She loves a game of ball, although it is rather one sided unless you have two balls, and really enjoys a squeaky toy. Can you give Kim the time she deserves and offer her a loving home that is long overdue.

Picture of Todd Picture of Todd Picture of Todd
Todd is almost 11 and can be a very loving dog but also sometimes a bit of a grump. He dislikes other dogs and must be kept on lead and away from other dogs, although it is fair to say he is happy to walk out with most of the dogs at the kennels. Todd is looking trim now and loves his walks, a play with a toy and paddlng. He has been previously grumpy with an owner but we think this may have been down to being uncomfortable due to carrying so much extra weight. He can be a very affectionate dog who loves to be dried with a towel. He can be grumpy with his owners but likewise he can be the most loving dog. A very special, understanding and tolerant home will be essential if Todd is to find a home for his retirement years.

Please check out Todd's videos Here and Here to see Todd playing in water

Picture to Foxy Picture to Foxy

Foxy is an older dog, probably around 10 years old. Sadly he was a stray but is now looking for a new home. Foxy is very slight in build and his size would best be describe as a small collie. He has happily walked around all the other dogs in kennels although he prefers them not to invade his personal space. Foxy has now been in to be neutered and had a dental at the same time, he had to have three teeth removed and he is like a different dog. He needs to learn how to play and just enjoy being a dog. We feel Foxy probably has a story or two to tell.

Please check out Foxy (and Fiona's) video Here

Picture of Deena Picture of Clyde Picture of Clyde Picture of Clyde

Deena and Clyde are around 7 years old and ideally they would like to go together but we would consider separating them for the right home. Deena is very people friendly and love to know everything that is going on, Clyde is slightly wary but it doesn't take long for him to make sure you are licked very clean.

Please check out Clyde and Deena's video Here

Picture of Teddy Picture of Teddy Picture of Teddy Teddy is a one year old labrador. He has not had a great deal of life experiences but is accepting new things quickly. He is picking up walking well on lead quickly and further work is needed to stop him getting over excited and jumping up. He is a bright boy and it will be essential he goes to training classes. He can be very dominant around other dogs but does not appear to be aggressive towards them. Please check out Teddy's videos Here and Here

Please also check out Teddy's video Here he is playing with Judi the Lurcher

Picture of Buzz Picture of Buzz Picture of Buzz

Buzz is a nice dog who we believe is about 4 years old. He is fairly large and some sort of greyhound/whippet/lurcher type. He has previously been a working dog so would probably not do well with small animals. He is good with other dogs and just loves to be around people.

Picture of Diesel Picture of Diesel Picture of Diesel

Diesel is around 2 1/2 years and a labrador cross. We have found him to be a lovely friendly dog but it may be he has some protective tendancies in his home. He appears fine around other dogs and has good recall. He can walk well on lead and would benefit from regular training classes.

Picture of Lexi Picture of Lexi Picture of Lexi

Lexi has several home checks and we are not taking any more enquiries at present. Lexi is an 18 month old German Shepherd. She appears very people friendly and is said to be good around other dogs. She is a bouncy girl who just wants to play and enjoy life. She will need some lead training but will make a great companion.

Picture of Sam Picture of Sam

Sam has several home checks and we are not taking any more enquiries at present. Sam is a 3 year old border collie. He is said to get on well with other dogs and he has lived with another dog. He is very people friendly and enjoys his walks and a game of ball. Sam needs a secure garden and could not go to anyone who had chickens.

Picture of China Picture of China

China has several home checks and we are not taking any more enquiries at present. China is around 6 years old and a lovely girl, very people friendly but she does find young children tiresome. She walks well on lead and is good around other dogs. Her recall is said to be good. She does need to loose a little bit of weight but with the correct diet and extra walks this should soon reduce down.

Picture of Noah Picture of Noah

Noah is a 20 month old lurcher type. He appears to be a lovely natured boy who has lived with children. He is said to get on well with other dogs and is good off lead, although he will never let an opportunity to chase a rabbit or perhaps a sheep go by unattempted.

Picture of Sandy Picture of Sandy

Sandy has several home checks and we are not taking any more enquiries at present. Sandy is a 9 month old Labradoodle. He appears to have a lovely nature and has lived with young children. He is walking well on lead but his recall is not good and he will need lots of training in this area. He is said to get on with other dogs. Sandy is a bright dog who will benefit from extra training and lots of exercise.

Picture of Sandy Picture of Sandy

Sasha is a 9 month old springer. She is a nice little girl but would not be suitable to go with young children. She is good around other dogs and will need some extra training and lots of exercise.

HOME FROM HOME

The animals below are not currently in our kennels but are being rehomed from their own homes or other rescues. B.A.R.K. takes no responsiblity for them and all rehomings will be private between the current and future owner. If you would like further information please contact the kennels so we may put you in touch. While we are happy to list these animals on our site unfortunately owners do not always tell us when they have rehomed their dog so we appolgise for any disappointment.

Dogs will be listed for 1 month from the last known contact from the owners.

Picture of Pasha n Beyaz Picture of Pasha n Beyaz Picture of Pasha n Beyaz Picture of Pasha n Beyaz

Pasha and Beyaz (the one on the left) are two lovely dogs looking for a new home. The are said to be a good temprement and get on well with other dogs (but not rabbits and cats) They also have good recall and listen 95% of the time. These two need rehoming by the end of the month. Currently they are staying in Hull. For further inforamtion please contact the kennels.

Picture of Blaze Picture of Blaze Blaze is around 16 months old. He is a very people dog but he can be tempremental around some other dogs. Blaze has been used to being a kennel dog, but is kennel clean so may well settle quickly in a house.

Picture of Skye Picture of Skye Skye is a 6 year old border collie. She appears to be a lovely loyal girl who would prefer to go to a quiet steady home. She has recently started to mix with young children and she finds them tiresome.

Picture of GSD Picture of GSD Abbey is a 6 year old Akita. She is like a big teddy bear in looks and nature. She has previously lived with another dog, so with careful introductions she could make a great companion.

Picture of GSD Picture of GSD Carter is looking for a new owner. This is what his owner had to say about him. "Carter is a full pedigree GSD 3 and half years old. He still acts like he is a 3 month old pup jumping on everyone like there his long lost friend as soon as they walk through the door. I would describe him as very energetic and thinks you have nothing better to do than throw his football all day long.

I would say not good with small kids as he is like a bull in a china shop. He shows no food aggression at all, in fact you could take the food or bone out his mouth.

He does pull a little on a lead. His one problem area is he hates other animals. Although he was walked with other dogs as a pup and has never had any bad experiences with other dogs, he goes mad when he sees other dogs/cats. I'm sure a better trainer than me could prob sort this, as I say I think I have been far to soft with him and stronger trainer than me would be able to teach him some manners.

Other than that he really is just a big daft dog.

Carter is currently staying in Ashington. For further information on this handsome boy please contact the kennels.

Picture of Jet Picture of Jet Jet is an 11 year old terrier cross. She appears to have a few homes and has become very intolerant of young children. She is said to be good with other dogs. Jet needs a quiet home where she will have company most of the time as we are told she tends to bark. Jet just needs a home to relax in so older owners would be ideal

For further information on Jet please contact the kennels.
